Characteristics
Laminated wood represents the modern evolution of solid structural wood; it is made up of solid elements (slats) which, appropriately glued and pressed, constitute the structural beams. It allows us to overcome a series of limitations of use specific to solid wood: it has uniformity and constant resistance at every point, morphological-dimensional stability, high availability in the dimensions of the structural elements both in section and in length.

Solid wood covers

Due to its natural aeshetic affinity with existing architecture, solid chestnut wood can be used both in the renovations of historic buildings, churches, country cottages, and in new buildings, for its beauty and for its ability to convey a sense of robustness and wamth. In addition to these purely aestethic characteristics, chestnut wood has notable durability and stability with respect to deformations. Chestnut beams are usually produced with a square section or “river use”, with beveled corners. Legnotek produces solid wood for structural use with CE marking, compliant with the UNI EN 14801 standard.

Restoration of wooden works

The experience acquired by the company in the sector of restoration and conservative rehabilitation of historic buildings, subject to protection and architectural heritage is notable. Legnotek can operate on the reconstruction of wooden roofs form the primary frame to the roof covering, on the structural consolidation of damaged or degraded wooden elements using carbon fibers and injections of specific resins.

Animal hubandry

Structure
The structure is usually placed on concrete walls that run longitudinally to the structure ensuring greater protection form contact with animals. The wooden or steel pillars are anchored above them. Each structure has framed perimeter walls and can be covered externally and internally with wooden panels. On the roof it is possibile to use sheet metal panels with polyurethane and internale fiberglass insulation which guarantees excellent resistance to aggressive agents present in livestock environments.

Legnotek’s primary objective is to satisfy the animal’s well-being needs, but at the same time those of funcionality and practicality for the client.

Seismic resistance

From a seismic point of view, a wooden house offers an excellent response to horizontal forces, which are induced by the vibrations of the masses of buildings in the event of an earthquake.

Fire resistant

Laminated wood is able to guarantee its stability during a fire. The carbon layer, in fact, acts as protection for the innermost layers which retain their mechanical resistance.
